YVR SOUTH RUNWAY TUNNEL
Hanna Group of Companies spearheaded the construction of a cast-in-place tunnel measuring 155 meters in length, 7 meters in width, and 3.5 meters in height. This tunnel, chosen as an alternative to the initially designed pre-cast option, was successfully completed within an 8-week runway closure. The project demanded around-the-clock shift work, showcasing Hanna Group’s effi ciency and commitment to meeting stringent timelines.

Hanna Group of Companies undertook the development of a deicing facility for WestJet Airlines, involving the installation of underground utilities, electrical systems, a pumping lift station, foundations for glycol storage, and the construction of a robust steel blast fence. This comprehensive project showcased Hanna Group’s proficiency in managing diverse aspects of infrastructure development to meet the specific requirements of WestJet Airlines’ deicing operations.
